Admission Requirements

Entrance Requirements

1.   Minimum age of 18.

2. Prospective students are required to download and review  the school catalog and enrollment contract as part of the application process. Long Distance students that are physically located or receiving clinical education within the State of Maryland, are required to download the Maryland catalog and enrollment contract.

 

All other long distance students will be admitted through the Delaware campus and should download the Delaware catalog and enrollment contract. Each catalog contains administrative procedures of the school and specific detail of individual programs that are approved to be offered within that state by the Board of Higher Education.

3. As part of your application for entrance to the school, applicants are required to submit a completed Health Declaration letter and Immunization records to the school. This information can be acquired from your medical providers, and are required to attest to your physical ability to enter the END Technology program.

In addition, a pregnant student is required to obtain a separate health clearance letter signed by her obstetrician in order to gain entrance to the Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program.

4. An approved clinical affiliate (CA) site must be available for the student for clinical practicum. The local site will be arranged by the Institute of Heath Sciences faculty. The student will visit and approve the clinical site prior to final acceptance into the program.

5. Applicant is required to have a dedicated access to an internet-connected computer with audio capabilities and speakers for podcasts, at least during program hours. The prospective student is required to demonstrate the knowledge and computer skills necessary to succeed in a distance-learning environment. The competency will be verified by arranging a short tour of the E-Learn™ online program with an adjunct faculty member.

6. Applicant is required to have ready access to a facsimile machine and internet e-mail account for receiving and transmitting documents.

7. Students are required to furnish evidence of completion (official transcript) of high school to be granted admission to the END Technology program. A high school diploma or its equivalent, the GED, is required or evidence of a high school diploma or equivalency.

Achievement at the 50th percentile is required for applicants with a General Educational Development equivalency diploma (GED).

School preparatory background, including one year of math (requires algebra I and either geometry or algebra II) and one life science with laboratory component (requires biology or chemistry) are required.

Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not graduated from American high schools must achieve no less than 550 (paper) or 213 (computer) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination.

8. Applicants are required to provide a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) from a licensed provider, such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

9. Applicants are required to provide a current background check and drug screen as part of entrance requirements. Applicants are required to use the Hospital Association StudentCheck™ procedure.
