Charter Oak is a unique distance learning college within the Connecticut system of higher education. Charter Oak is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Connecticut State Board for Higher Education. NEASC is the accrediting board for colleges and universities located in the New England area. They are one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States. In addition to Charter Oak State College, their members include the Brown University, Boston College, Harvard, and many other reputable institutions.
